Set within the grounds of Hazelwood Castle, just 20 minutes from Leeds, the one-day festival Beyond The Woods blends underground electronic music with arts and wellness programming on May 30th.
This year’s edition expands across four stages, each curated by key players in the scene. Slapfunk hosts the open-air Amphitheatre, Ruckus24 takes control of the Treehouse, while Distrikt curates the Maze. A hidden Disco Tipi completes the programme.
The lineup leans firmly underground, with names including Archie Hamilton, Saoirse, Dungeon Meat, Locklead and Alisha.
Alongside the music, the festival incorporates a wider cultural offering, with wellness, art and independent traders embedded throughout the woodland setting.
New for this year, the programme places a stronger emphasis on immersive experiences, with site-specific installations and interactive art woven through the forest, encouraging exploration between stages. Extended set times allow artists to move beyond standard club formats, creating a more fluid, journey-led musical experience across the day.
A focus on community also underpins the event, with collaborations from local collectives and grassroots brands helping shape the atmosphere on and off the dancefloor. Sustainability initiatives have been further developed, with efforts to minimise environmental impact and support responsible production within the historic surroundings.
